Lv Xiaojun, a weightlifting champion with positive sample test, declared that he would cooperate with the investigation and be innocent.

According to official website, China Weightlifting Association, Olympic weightlifting champion Lv Xiaojun issued a statement that doping test was positive:

On December 20, 2022, I received an email from an international inspection agency informing me that my sample was positive for non-specific substances. I am very shocked. As an old athlete, I have been strictly abiding by the anti-doping regulations of the International Weightlifting Federation, the World Anti-Doping Agency and the China Anti-Doping Agency. I think the value of sports lies in fair competition. I firmly oppose all kinds of cheating such as doping, which is also the bottom line I have always set for myself. Doping is completely contrary to my values and my anti-doping education.

In my 24-year weightlifting career, I have experienced countless competitions and accepted hundreds of doping tests, and there is no violation. Since I came back in August, 2022, I have been tested for doping eight times in just four months. I love weightlifting very much. As a weightlifter, I have won almost all the honors cleanly. I have neither motivation nor reason to use any banned substances in the last leg of my beloved weightlifting career. I will cooperate with relevant institutions to investigate, find out the real cause of the problem and clear my name.
